Aragon, a former stray dog turned hero, recently came to the rescue again, but this time it wasn’t just himself he saved. While out for a stroll with his human, Aragon stumbled upon a litter of abandoned kittens.
In Greece, where such heart-wrenching scenes are sadly common, Aragon’s keen sense of compassion kicked in. His owner, a volunteer with SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society), witnessed Aragon’s remarkable act of kindness firsthand.
“Abandoned litters of kittens are such a common thing in Greece,” explains Valia from Orphan Pet. “Within only a month, SCARS has rescued more than 25 kittens, all abandoned in the same way.”
But these kittens were fortunate. Aragon’s vigilant instincts led them to safety, sparing them from the dangers of the mountainous terrain, where hungry predators lurk.
