Cyclist Discovers Dying Puppy in the Desert While Riding, Far from Civilization

In scorching 105-degree heat in the southern Arizona desert, a compassionate bicyclist stumbled upon a puppy in distress, wandering aimlessly in circles on the blistering asphalt. Diane Lea, the founder of 50 Causes Ride, was on a mission to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis as she pedaled through the challenging terrain. The moment was captured by Liz Watkins, who was accompanying Diane in an RV stocked with supplies.

On the 9th day of their 50-day journey, Diane spotted a figure moving erratically in the middle of the desert road. As she approached, she realized it was a helpless, dying puppy struggling for survival.

Diane wasted no time and carried the fragile pup to her RV, determined to give it a chance at life. Amid the assortment of discarded items collected along the road, none would prove as valuable as the precious life she had just rescued.
