Most animals use their skin-color as a disguise to blend in into their surroundings. This way they are less likely to be the pray of others who are determined to hunt them.
With owls it is a little bit different as they are the predator and they need to hide in order not to scare away their prey.
This owl is completely out of luck as it is an albino. That means it’s system is lacking in melanin, which is needed to darken his colors in its feathers and eyes. He is not the only albino animal though – but I can say he is one of the scariest looking.
