Biscuits was born Wednesday with five other siblings in Albany, Oregon. And his story traveled the world press with lightning speed, as Biscuit was born with two noses and two mouths, meaning he looks like he has two faces.
This condition is caused by a rare birth defect, and the kittens born in this way are called Janus cats, following the two-faced Roman God. It is currently questionable whether Biscuit will be able to strengthen in the coming weeks.
The owners said in an interview with local TV that they are optimistic for now, Biscuit seems quite alive and luckily he has an appetite, so they trust that they won’t have to give up the special kitten. They also stated that although they received plenty of offers, they have no plans to sell Biscuits or his siblings.
