Despite his shyness, Pinky felt drawn to Monte, who had often been overlooked by adopters. At 26 years old, Monte had been rescued at 16, facing numerous rejections. Upon bringing him home, Monte immediately bonded with the horses. Just three days later, Pinky was amazed when Monte began singing at mealtime, initially wondering if he was “broken.”
